Pinewood Derby Time!
It's time for the annual Pack 29 Pinewood Derby. All participants need to be at the Fellowship Hall 9:00 AM Saturday 1/26 for the final weigh in and registration.
We're setting up the Pinewood Derby Track Friday, 1/25 at 7:00 PM. We'll meet at the Scout House to pick up the track, then set it up in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Volunteers are welcome (encouraged).
If you need last minute help with your car, or just want to test it on the track, you can do that on Friday after the track is set up. Also, you can register your car at that time to save time Saturday morning.
See you all there!

Pinewood Derby Workshop!
Pinewood Derby workshop Tuesday January 15th at 6:30. Some of the Dad's are volunteering tools and expertise to help the scouts design and cut out the cars. We'll hold a follow up workday on Saturday morning to help the scouts complete their cars, or to start off the ones that may miss out on the Tuesday workshop.
This is a fun event - even if you have your car built already, it is fun to come and help with the others. Any adult that wants to help is welcome. We will have a couple of scroll saws going; parents are encourage to bring a Dremel tool and/or sandpaper to help out.

Cub Scout Pack 29 in Trussville, Alabama is committed to character and
community. As a part of our community service, in lieu of den
dues we ask that every scout bring an item for T.E.A.M.
each meeting. At our pack meetings, we ask that the members of
the scout families bring items as well.
We also serve the global community. We are leading our charter
organization's Nothing But
Nets local drive. Nothing But Nets is a
global, grassroots campaign to raise awareness and funding to combat
malaria, one of the largest killers of children in Africa.
