Living the Scout Law Through Our Pack Activities

Fishing

Fishing as a Cub Scout is more than just casting a line—it’s a chance to connect with nature, learn patience, and maybe even reel in the catch of the day! Whether it’s your first time holding a fishing rod or you’re already a pro at telling “the one that got away” stories, fishing adventures with your pack are always full of laughs, excitement, and a little friendly competition. Scouts learn how to bait hooks, follow safety rules, and respect wildlife—all while soaking up the sunshine and making awesome memories with friends and family.
Archery and Shooting Sports

Archery and shooting sports are some of the most thrilling experiences a Cub Scout can have! With steady hands and sharp focus, scouts learn how to aim, breathe, and hit the target while building confidence and responsibility. Under the careful guidance of trained instructors, scouts get the chance to try their hand at archery, BB gun shooting, and other safe, age-appropriate activities that are both challenging and super fun. It’s not just about bullseyes—it’s about learning discipline, practicing safety, and cheering each other on.
Flag Detail and Honor Guard

Participating in flag detail or honor guard is a proud and meaningful experience for any Cub Scout. It’s a special opportunity to show respect for our country and represent the values of Scouting with pride and dignity. Whether raising the flag at a pack meeting, leading a ceremony at a community event, or presenting colors in a parade, scouts learn the importance of tradition, teamwork, and attention to detail. Dressed in full uniform and standing tall, they honor the flag with quiet confidence and a strong sense of duty.
Pinewood Derby

The Pinewood Derby is one of the most exciting and anticipated events in Cub Scouting! Scouts get to unleash their creativity and craftsmanship by building their very own wooden race cars—shaping, painting, and decorating them just the way they want. With help from family and leaders, each car becomes a unique creation built for speed and style. On race day, the excitement is electric as cars zoom down the track, cheered on by friends and family. It’s not just about winning—it's about good sportsmanship, doing your best, and having a blast together.
Hiking

Hiking as a Cub Scout is an adventure waiting around every bend in the trail! With their backpacks on and a spirit of exploration, scouts hit the great outdoors to discover nature up close—whether it’s spotting animal tracks, identifying plants, or just enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. Along the way, they learn important outdoor skills like staying safe, following trail signs, and working together as a team. Every hike is a chance to build confidence, stay active, and connect with friends while exploring the world around them.
S.T.E.A.M

S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) in Cub Scouts turns curiosity into excitement through hands-on experiments, creative projects, and problem-solving challenges! Whether building simple machines, launching rockets, exploring robotics, or creating cool art from unexpected materials, scouts dive into fun activities that spark imagination and bring learning to life. S.T.E.A.M. adventures help scouts grow critical thinking skills while showing them that learning can be just as fun as playing.
Camping

Camping as a Cub Scout is where the real adventure begins! Whether it’s a night under the stars, a weekend at a Scout camp, or a backyard tent-out, camping is all about bonding with friends, learning new skills, and creating unforgettable memories. Scouts get to experience the great outdoors—cooking over a campfire, telling stories by flashlight, learning how to pitch tents, and exploring nature trails. From the first s’more to the morning hike, every moment of a Cub Scout camping trip is filled with excitement, laughter, and the kind of fun that only happens in the great outdoors!
Community Service

Community service is a powerful part of being a Cub Scout—it’s where scouts learn that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference! Whether picking up litter at a park, planting flowers at a local school, collecting food for those in need, or making cards for veterans, scouts roll up their sleeves and jump into action with pride and purpose. These projects teach the value of helping others, working as a team, and being a positive force in their neighborhoods.
