Parents and Guardians here is some info directly for you and your role with your scout and within Pack 216!

  • Group Me is our Primary path of communication. If you're not familiar with the app, please get with your Den Leader, and we can get it installed for you. Please do not silence the app.

  • Communication is key to inform Pack leadership if you will make it to Den meetings, Pack outings, or any other required/elective event. Please do not silence the app unless absolutely necessary. Many times, your leaders are purchasing supplies for the Den and Pack meetings. This helps them acquire their supplies in the correct amounts.

  • All events the Pack has planned can be found in 2 primary places. The website you are currently on and in the Scout Hut on our posted planning calendar. The location on the website is HERE.

  • Parental participation is greatly encouraged and required with our Lions through Bears on their journey. Parents must be present and ready to participate in Den meetings as required. Lion through Bear ranks are the years when we build their comfort with the program and around other new people. As your Scout grows older and moves from Rank to rank, we want to see you step back and let them go forward. They trust you, help them trust us. For the Webelos and AOL year, we want you to be present, but let your Scout take the lead.

  • Pack meetings and events are recommended to join every time we have one. We put out all current information to the Scouts and their families, we give out all awards the Scout has earned to this point, and lastly, it builds comfort in your Scout with their pack. If you miss an event or meeting, please contact your Den Leader or check GroupMe and the Website for all updated information.

  • Cell Phones are great... but please put them away during our Den and Pack meetings unless you are taking pictures or doing something Pack/Den related.

  • Pack Dues are $75.00, and National Dues are $125.00. Please do not let this scare you away from Cub Scouts. We have Scholarship and Fundraising options to cover these costs.

  • Plug in with the pack wherever you can help. This helps your trained Pack Leaders take the Scouting experience to a new level with your help. If you want to take a bigger role with the Den or pack, consider getting trained yourself and becoming a leader and journey with your Scout in their Cub years.

  • Medical Forms are a must when going to Adventure Weekends, Pack Camping events, and any District or Council Camping event. Please have them ready to turn in. Your Medical Forms must be updated as required and as a pack we will collect a new copy annually. You can find them HERE.
